Additional Classes

CrossFit North Myrtle Beach offers a variety of classes:

*Note:Additional classes will be a separate fee from a CrossFit membership.  You will not need a CrossFit membership nor will you need to complete the on-ramp sessions to attend any of the additional classes.

Bootcamp Classes

For those of you that aren’t completely set on CrossFit, Bootcamp will follow the format of High Intensity Interval Training. Similar to the CrossFit™ methodology. This program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Bootcamp focuses on functional movements to include:  cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy. North Beach Barbell

Open to all members as well as non-members. This group focuses primarily on improving the technical execution of the snatch, clean & jerk and related lifts. Our Weightlifting program will not only include instruction and programming on Olympic lifting but we will also emphasize on the exercises and accessory exercises that assist with them, like squats, deadlifts, and the presses.This program is intended to supplement your regular training regimen and improve explosiveness, strength, and coordination in addition to improving comfort with the lifts.
Programming is focused on the needs of the group, along with necessary modifications for individual athletes, and varies weekly. In each session athletes can expect to snatch or clean & jerk, perform dynamic pulling drills, and perform skill transfer drills and other supplemental exercises for the Olympic lifts.

The Coaches

      : North Beach Barbell Club is coached by certified coaches with experience in all lifts to include powerlifting. Some credentials include USAW Sports Performance Coach level 1, CrossFit Olympic weightlifting taught by Josh Everett and CrossFit Powerlifting taught by Louie Simmons.

      Individuals with little or no prior experience with the Olympic lifts will be required to attend Olympic Lifting 101 – our 4 session introduction to the lifts.
